The IEEE BDS Student Branch ExCom Summit is an annual gathering of Branch Counselors and Student Branch Executive Body members. The Summit serves as an opportunity for the different Student Branches to share their past achievements and their future goals with each other and with the Bangladesh Section. This year the ExCom Summit took place at Eastern University, Dhaka. It was hosted by IEEE Bangladesh Section, IEEE Bangladesh Section Student Activity Committee (SAC) and IEEE Eastern University Student Branch. Representing the IEEE BRAC University Student Branch was its Chairperson, Nazib Murshed, along with other members of the Executive Body.

One of the key sessions of the event was the Student Branch Activity Slide Presentation and the Poster Presentation. Chairperson Nazib Murshed took the stage in front of all the attendees and attendants and gave a brief speech on the recent activities of the Branch and the future events he and his fellow Executive Body members wished to hold. At the same time the Newsletter Editor, Muntaqa Bari, presented the Student Branch’s poster, which depicted four of the recent activities hosted by the Branch, to a panel of judges.

Key speakers during the Summit were Prof. Dr. Md. Mahfuzur Rahman, Dean, Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Eastern University and Counselor, IEEE EU Student Branch; Prof. Dr. Md. Nurul Islam, Vice Chancellor, Eastern University; Dr. Shaikh Anowarul Fattah, Nominations and Appointments Chair, IEEE BDS; Mohammad Zakaria Haider, Secretary, IEEE BDS; Md. Romael Haque, Treasurer, IEEE BDS; Dr. Celia Shahnaz, Chair, IEEE BDS along with other members of the IEEE Bangladesh Section.
