The day was 19 th May, 2015 and IEEE BRAC University Student Branch carried out their IEEE Campaign 2015. The venue for the IEEE Campaign was the ground floor of Pacific Tower (building no. 03), BRAC University.The campaign commenced from 9 am and carried on till 5 pm. The main purpose of this demonstration was to encourage people to join IEEE. The executive members demonstrated the activities of the student branch through multimedia
slide shows and videos. They distributed brochures about IEEE, describing its benefits among students and also the IEEE Kit they received from IEEE, USA. The response was noteworthy and 80 students signed up to be a part of IEEE and among them 50 students had already become IEEE student members. Besides that, IEEE BRAC University
Student Branch gathered over 100 student members this year which is a record for this branch. In a nutshell, the campaign was a good way to interact with an assortment of students to share the idea about IEEE and hence this idea can be recommended for other student branches as well to recruit members.
