IEEE BRAC University Computer Society organized a seminar on Blockchain titled : BlockChain: The Truth Machine on 20th October 2019. The seminar started at 3:30 pm at UB71201. There were a total of 25 members present at the seminar. The speakers for the event were Mr Muttakin Islam ( Senior software engineer) and Ta-seen Junaid from BJIT Ltd. The advisor of IEEE BRAC University Computer Society, Dr. Md. Motaharul Islam was also present during the seminar. The purpose of the workshop was to introduce members to this modern and ingenious topic of this age’s computer science. The speakers emphasized on fundamental topics which also connect BlockChain to crypto currency. The speakers used real life scenarios to explain the concepts and also described the problems a beginner might face while working with crypto currency. The seminar came to end with conceptual question and answer session between the members and the speakers at 5:30pm.The seminar wrapped up by handing over a token of appreciation to the speakers, a group photo and some refreshments.
