Seminar on Higher Education, one of the most interactive events of IEEE BRAC University student body, was brought back due to popular demand on 5th of March, 2019. This time it focused broadly upon the opportunities of graduate/post-graduate education in Australia. The event took place on the 19th floor of UB2 in BRAC University, Mohakhali campus.
At 6pm sharp, the event commenced that saw dozens of engineering students huddled for an hour from Abu S.M Mohsin, the man who has had a taste of what all these aspiring academics dream on for the future. Abu S.M Mohsin is an assistant professor of BRAC University, Electrical and Electronic Engineering Department and has a Ph.d in Nano-Bio-Photonics from the Swinburne University of Technology, Australia. During his time abroad, Dr Mohsin has worked as a research scientist, became an expert in Nano-Bio-Photonics, developed advanced optical imaging techniques and contributed in Plasmonic and optical data storage. Throughout the hour Dr. Mohsin shared from his experiences of studying abroad and elaborated on the opportunities and different aspects of a graduate/Post-graduate degree from Australia. This allowed prospectus students to get a clear picture regarding their confusions about the process of higher education abroad.
