With the theme of Dream| Believe | Achieve | Empower, IEEE Women in Engineering Affinity Group of Bangladesh organized “IEEE WIE International Leadership Summit 2018 “. It was a two-day conference held on 12th and 13th of October on BSMMU Convention Center, Dhaka.
6 Students from Brac University IEEE Student branch attended the conference. They were Anika Farha from CS, Afia Fahmida Rahman and Paripurna Dutta Puja both from CSE and Hanan Ashrafi Anushka , Rumali Siddiqui and Fariha Reza Khan all from EEE .
The two-day conference’s each day started with Inaugural Ceremony speech of the Honored guests. The Conference was eventful for having Honorable Ministers, Scientists, Female Entrepreneurs, Teachers to exchange experience in seminars named Embracing Science and Technology, Women in Power, Access to Information etc. Which inspired Delegates especially female delegates to break everyday barriers. There speakers from Malaysia, Sri Lanka, India and Bangladesh shared their insight about professional life and more. Finally, the closing ceremony gave an end to the grand conference.
Delegates of both Brac University and other universities had the opportunity to learn from the brightest minds by attending the workshops and seminars and left an impact on their mind believing that anyone can do anything and handle any challenge.
