On June 27, 2025, from 8:00 PM to 9:20 PM (BD Time), an online seminar titled “Build Your Future with ASP.NET: A Career-Focused Seminar” was held on Google Meet. The event was organized by the IEEE Computer Society BRAC University Student Branch Chapter. This career-focused session aimed to help students explore job opportunities in ASP.NET and gain hands-on knowledge from professionals in the field.

The main goal of the seminar was to guide students who are interested in web development and show them how ASP.NET can lead to a strong career. The organizers hoped that participants would leave with a better understanding of the tools used in the industry, tips for creating a strong portfolio, and guidance on finding internships.

The seminar drew great interest, with significant participants joining from different departments, especially students of Computer Science and Engineering. The strong turnout reflected the growing interest in ASP.NET and future career prospects in software development.

Two experienced speakers led the session. Engr. Shahanaj Begum, Senior Faculty at IsDB-BISEW and CEO of Powersoft IT, shared valuable insights into the importance of ASP.NET in the job market. She discussed how students can plan their learning journey and build skills that match industry needs. One of her former students also spoke briefly, sharing his experience and how her mentorship helped him grow into a confident ASP.NET developer.

The second speaker, Md. Abdur Rahman, Software Manager and CEO of RoyalSoft IT, presented one of his company’s recent projects—a custom ERP system developed for a textile company. He explained how ASP.NET was used in building the system and gave a live demo. The session ended with an interactive Q&A, where students asked about tools, frameworks, internships, and career advice. In summary, the seminar was both informative and motivating. Participants walked away with technical knowledge, industry insights, and practical tips—helping them take the first step toward a successful tech career with ASP.NET.
