On March 4, 2024, the IEEE Computer Society BracU Student Branch Chapter (IEEE CS BracU SBC) embarked on a transformative journey through the “Campus to Corporate” program, a collaborative initiative with Banglalink Digital Communications Ltd. The objective was to provide students with a profound understanding of corporate dynamics and equip them with extensive skill sets as they prepare to step into the corporate realm.
The session commenced with Rifah Tasfia Tanmeee, Product Experience Manager of the Toffee app, unraveling the technological marvel that is reshaping the landscape of digital entertainment in Bangladesh. Followed by a pivotal session unfolded with Quazi Nafees Ahmed, Head of Talent Management in the Human Resources department. Mr. Nafees shared invaluable insights into the inner workings of Banglalink, shedding light on the recruitment process and the qualities that the organization values in potential employees.

Afterwards, Abdullah Hill Nahian, Manager of Digital Business, delved into the realm of digital gamification and its significance in contemporary business strategies. The session explored the intersection of technology, engagement, and business success. Participants were then introduced to Banglalink’s Enterprise Corporate Care Portal, a comprehensive website portal designed to empower business owners with facilities to foster growth and accelerate enterprises. The event took an engaging turn with interactive “War Room Discussions.” Participants showcased their debating skills by engaging in thought-provoking discussions.

Maria Hossain, a distinguished BRAC University alumna currently employed at Banglalink, shared her journey, insights, and the advantages of working at Banglalink. Her talk resonated with aspiring students, offering a glimpse into a successful professional trajectory. Thereafter, a session by Refayat Ahmed, Talent Management Lead Specialist in Human Resources, covered essential aspects such as crafting a digital portfolio, career opportunities, and specialized programs for fresh undergraduates. Programs like the Strategic Assistant Program, Digitalyst, Banglalink Innovators, and Banglalink Womentor were spotlighted as gateways to professional growth.
Amid the immersive learning opportunities, it would be negligent to overlook the exceptional hospitality provided by Banglalink. Their warm welcome enveloped us from the moment we stepped foot on their premises. Throughout the day, Banglalink graciously provided us with a delectable breakfast, a hearty lunch, and delightful snacks. The gesture exemplified their commitment to ensuring our comfort and well-being, reflecting their genuine care for their guests. We extend our heartfelt appreciation to Banglalink for their exceptional hospitality, which added an extra layer of warmth and positivity to our memorable experience.
